I often feel out of place
in this world of invented things
artificial light keeping me awake
while I struggle to pay it’s fee.
Dreaming of sunlight and sand
I play in my virtual world
I’d rather be hiking in nature
but I stroll the internet highway.
Longing to dance under a star lit sky
fingertips twinkle across the keyboard
long ago echoes of the seashore
tugging at my heartstrings.
Like slowly suffocating in polluted air
or drowning in bacteria filled sludge
I fight to survive these unnatural elements
so I can one day find my way home.
Who has captured my earth mother?
Placing fees on her bounty for ransom
Who has stolen my inheritance?
My earth, my home, my life. – CSRoth, 2016

Beautiful, beautiful – words and photos…
Thank you, I can’t always express my heart but this one hit home (no pun intended).
